September 11, 2020 - Nick Deal attends Boone Super Nationals at Boone Speedway
Wednesday night saw Nick Deal return to action at Boone Speedway (Boone, Iowa) competing in the Modified ranks for the Super Nationals. With several rounds of heat races taking place on Wednesday, Nick failed to make the call for his eight lap heat.

The following night, Nick started his heat race in sixth but was an early retiree from the eighth lapper.

On Friday night, Deal was slated to start 10th in his final heat but wet conditions forced Deal to scratch from the event to save equipment.

July 25, 2020 - Deal rules Bragging Rights field at I-80 Speedway for sixth win of the season
Nick Deal put the Karl and Tracie Getzschman-owned No. 18 All Makes Collision/ Visible Signs/ Rocket Chassis Late Model in Victory Lane for the sixth time this season on Thursday.

Making the trip to I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb. for the Silver Dollar Nationals weekend, Deal was victorious in Thursday night’s Bragging Rights Late Model division. 

“We didn’t have the results we’d hoped for in our No. 55D this weekend,” Deal said. “Getting another win for Karl and Tracie definitely makes it better. Their team works really hard and we’ve got a good rhythm going. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Kicking off the weekend on Wednesday in his No. 55D Black Diamond Chassis Late Model, Nick Deal went into battle against a stout field of 44 Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series entries.

The following night in the Karl and Tracie Getzschman-owned No. 18 entry, competing in the Bragging Rights Late Model division, Nick passed five cars in his heat race to place third.

Rolling off sixth for the Malvern Bank Go 20 main event, Deal held off a charging Andy Eckrich to capture his sixth win of the season and a $1,000 payday. Eckrich, Cory Dumpert, Justin Kay, and Ben Sukup trailed him to the checkers in the 20-lap affair.

Returning to the seat of his No. 55D Black Diamond Chassis Late Model on Friday evening, Deal took part in two rounds of heat races with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). Nick followed up a fourth-place finish in his first heat with a ninth-place outing in the second round.

Sitting in 35th overall in passing points, Deal transferred into the B-Main on Saturday night for one last shot at the $53,000-to-win Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals. Slated to start ninth in his B-Main with the only Top-4 transferring into the finale, Deal was a scratch from 15-lap consolation event to save equipment.

July 18, 2020 - Runner-up finish in Black Diamond Shelby County Speedway
Nick Deal returned to Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa) on Saturday night but this time behind the wheel of his Monster Graphix No. 55 Black Diamond Race Car Late Model for the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series sanctioned program. After jumping up three spots in his heat race to pick up the 8-lap victory, Deal marched forward three spots in the 25-lap feature to place second behind Tad Pospisil with Jason O’Brien, Ben Schaller, and Bill Leighton Jr. completing the Top-5 finishers.

July 11, 2020 - Shelby County Speedway triumph makes Nick Deal five-for-five
This one may have been tougher, but Nick Deal Racing and the Getzschman Racing team remain undefeated in IMCA Late Model competition at Shelby County Speedway Harlan, Iowa.

Despite starting eighth on the grid, Nick put the Karl and Tracie Getzschman-owned No. 18 All Makes Collision/ Visible Signs/ Rocket Chassis Late Model in Victory Lane for the fifth consecutive time this season.

“It’s hard to find the words to describe the feeling of winning five straight,” said Deal. “This team really gels; I can’t thank Karl, Tracie, and their family enough for all they’ve done. I hope we can carry this momentum into this weekend’s SLMR event.”

Friday night saw Nick Deal returning to the seat of his Nebraska Iowa Supply Company No. 55 Black Diamond Race Car Late Model for the Weekly Racing Series event at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Neb.).

Passing five cars in his 8-lap heat race, Deal posted a third-place finish, which positioned him ninth on the starting grid for the 20-lap feature. Breaking into the Top-5, Nick improved four spots to place fifth behind Josh Krug, Ben Schaller, Tad Pospisil, and John Anderson.

1The following night at Shelby County Speedway at the helm of the Karl and Tracie Getzschman-owned No. 18 Late Model, Nick secured his spot into the main event with an 8-lap heat race victory.

Rolling off from the fourth row, Deal wheeled his way to the front to take command and eventually lap all the way to third place before the checkered flag flew. Nick topped Brandon Saltzaman, Todd Bell, Don Beckstrom, and Tyler Harr at the line.

June 27, 2020 - Deal dominates at Shelby County for fourth-in-a-row
1 Nick Deal continues to be seemingly unstoppable on his home turf.

For the fourth-straight week, Nick drove the Karl and Tracie Getzschman-owned No. 18 All Makes Collision/ Visible Signs/ Rocket Chassis to Victory Lane at Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, Iowa.

“When a car and driver are hooked, they are a force to be reckoned with,” said Team Owner Tracie Getzschman. “Our crew works their tails off to be able to provide a top-notch car for a driver who is talented, careful, respectful, and floats this car with such grace. I’m super proud of our No. 18 team!”

To start the night, Deal passed five cars in his heat race to pick up the win, locking him into the 10th-starting position for the A-Main.

Tracking down front-row starter Jacob Brown, Nick soared to the victory over Brown, A.J. Jorgensen, Brandon Saltzman, and Brett Hopp. After laying down consecutive 17 second laps early as he closed in on the leaders, Deal began coasting late in the race as he lapped all the way up to the third position.

“The car was flawless again tonight. My hat’s off to this crew for all they do,” said Deal. “Thanks to Karl and Tracie, this team, our sponsors, and all of the fans for their continued support.”

June 20, 2020 - Nick Deal remains unbeaten at Shelby County Speedway
1 Nick Deal continued his dominance at Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa) on Saturday night by scoring his third-straight win at the 4/10-mile oval.

“It’s awesome to be able to win three weeks in a row,” Deal said. “The team gave me a really fast car and we had another outstanding night. Thanks so much to Karl Getzschman and his family for this opportunity, and everyone who supports this team. We’ll try to make it four in a row this weekend.”

Gaining five spots in his heat race, Deal posted a runner-up finish behind Kale Kosiski, which positioned him ninth on the starting grid for the main event.

Navigating his way to the front, Deal topped Kosiski, Brandon Saltzaman, Andrew Tilley, and Micah Brown at the finish line for his third win aboard the Karl Getzschman-owned No. 18 All Makes Collision/ dollar. of Omaha Car Rental/ Visible Signs/ Rocket Chassis.

June 6, 2020 - Deal rebounds after fire in heat to win at Shelby County Speedway
1 Nick Deal returned to Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa) on Saturday night.

After chaos stemming from mechanical issues early in the night, Deal would later rebound for his second triumph in as many weeks driving the Karl Getzschman-owned No. 18 All Makes Collision/ Visible Signs/ Rocket Chassis.

“Again, I can’t Karl Getzschman and his family enough for letting drive their car,” Deal commented. “After a crazy situation in the heat race, we were able to get it back together thanks to the hard work of this awesome crew. No one ever wants to start in the back of the field, but it was fun wheeling this thing to the front. What a sweet victory.”

In preliminary action, Deal was an early retiree from his heat race after a busted power steering line resulted in a fire under the hood of his No. 18.

The team thrashed to make repairs on Deal’s Rocket Chassis entry, just in time for him to start on the tail of the feature. Nick marched his way through the field to capture his second straight win of the season. He crossed the finish line ahead of Andrew Tilley, Sterling Perkins, Brett Hopp, and Tyler Harr.

June 6, 2020 - Nick Deal Takes Karl Getzchman No. 18 to Victory Lane at Shelby County Speedway
1 Nick Deal returned to the driver’s seat on Saturday night for the first time since the Wild West Shootout at Arizona Speedway early January.

Nick’s return was a triumphant one, piloting the Karl Getzschman-owned No. 18 All Makes Collision/ Visible Signs/ Rocket Chassis to victory at Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, Iowa.

“A big thank you to Karl Getzschman and his family enough for letting me wheel their hot rod tonight,” Deal said as he and the team celebrated in Victory Lane. “They’ve been so welcoming. “I haven’t raced since January and to come out and get the win the first night back, it’s a great feeling. Thank you to all the sponsors who support Karl’s team and my team as well.”

Passing two cars in his heat race, Deal secured his spot into the main event with a heat race victory. Outrunning pole-sitter Sterling Perkins, Nick soared to his first win of the season over Perkins, Todd Bell, Robbie Jorgensen, and Eric Wolf Jr.

January 17, 2020 - Bad Luck Strikes Again in Third Round of Wild West Shootout
1On Wednesday evening for the third round of the Wild West Shootout, Nick was ran into by another competitor in his heat but salvaged a 6th place finish. He ended up scratching from his B-Main to prepare for the final three events.

After a scheduled off day on Thursday gave competitors some time to regroup, Deal fell two spots short of a transfer position in his heat on Friday with a 6th place finish. Coming in 3rd in his B-Main, Nick locked into the 22nd-starting position for the A-Main. With $5,000 on the line, Nick Deal suffered a blown transmission on the eighth lap that saw him retire early. He ended up scratching from the final two nights of the Wild West Shootout and headed home.

January 11, 2020 - Nick Deal Caught Behind Wreck in Wild West Shootout Opener
Nick Deal kicked off his 2020 season on Saturday night at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Arizona) for the 14th annual Wild West Shootout. In a stout field of 46 Late Models, Deal followed up the fourth fastest lap in his time trial group with a 5th place finish in his heat race. Needing a 3rd place finish or better in his B-Main to make the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Nick got caught behind a rolled over car while battling for a transfer spot that ended his nightly immediately. He was able to escape uninjured.

September 13, 2019 - Deal Lands Top 10 Finish in Tiny Lund Memorial Opener at Shelby County
On Friday night Nick Deal traveled to Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa) returning to the Modified ranks for the opening night of the Tiny Lund Memorial. Passing five cars in his heat, Deal scored a runner-up finish behind Josh Cooper which positioned him 11th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Gaining two spots in the 20-lap affair, Nick scored a 9th place finish.

September 7, 2019 - Nick Deal Attends IMCA Super Nationals at Boone Speedway
Wednesday night saw Nick Deal return to action at Boone Speedway (Boone, Iowa) kicking off the IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s General Stores. Improving four spots in his heat, Deal recorded a 4th place finish sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. He went on to retire early from the 8-lap consolation event.

The following night, Nick locked his spot into the A-Main with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Braxton Yeager. Gaining five positions in the 25-lap feature, Deal posted a 17th place outing.

For the third round on Friday, Nick followed up a heat race victory with a 6th place finish in the A-Main.

On Saturday evening wrapping up the IMCA Super Nationals, Deal came in 2nd in his heat behind Ryan McDaniel sending him into the B-Main for one final shot at the $5,800-to-win finale. Improving one spot in the 12-lap affair, Nick recorded an 8th place finish.

August 17, 2019 - Top 5 Finish at Shelby County Speedway
Nick Deal returned to the Open Wheel Modified ranks on Saturday evening at Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa). After starting the night off with a 8-lap heat race victory, Deal passed five cars in the feature reeling in a 4th place finish behind Jeff James, Craig Reetz, and Jeff Stephens with Jeff Jones coming in 5th.

Holding his spot in his heat, Deal recorded a 4th place finish which positioned him 5th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Wheeling his way to the front, Nick soared to his fifth win of the season over Jeff Jones, Craig Reetz, Travis Hatcher, and Trey Kline.
